Week 47 ratings of the Hindi GEC universe saw the fortunes of some increasing while others falling. Three of the top Hindi GECs saw a decline which included Star Plus, Colors and SAB TV, while Zee TV, Life OK and Sony Entertainment Television (SET) saw an increase in their ratings. According to data sourced from TAM subscribers week 47 (November 16 – 22, 2014), Star Plus at the top saw its ratings decline as its ratings fell to 631 million GVTs in week 47 from 658 million GVTs in week 46 (November 9 – 15, 2014).
In second spot Colors, witnessed a marginal decline this week 47 to 482 million GVTs from 483 million GVTs in week 46.
Zee TV’s ratings continued to grow this week on the back of last week’s rise. The channels ratings saw an increase to 433 million GVTs this week from 419 million GVTs last week.
Life OK saw an increase in its ratings this week as it rose from 313 million GVTs in week 46 to 326 million GVTs in week 47.
SAB TV at No.5 spot on the other hand declined to 276 million GVTs this week from 296 million GVTs in week 46.
SET got back after a huge dip in its last week ratings. SET saw a big increase in its ratings to 207 million GVTs in week 47 from 190 million GVTs in week 46.
Zee Anmol saw its ratings stay the same in week 47 at 84 million GVTs.
Star Utsav’s ratings were the same 69 million GVTs, the same as the week
before.
Big Magic saw an increase in its ratings this week as it recorded 69 million GVTs in week 47 from 61 million GVTs in week 46. Rishtey on the other hand had suffered a huge set back this week as its ratings declined to 39 million GVTs in week 47 from 52 million GVTs in week 46.

Among the new GECs, Sony PAL saw its ratings decline from 32 million GVTs in week 46 to 30 million GVTs in week 47. While Zindagi, on the other hand, witnessed an increase in its ratings this week to 30 million GVTs in week 47 from 29 million GVTs last week.
Sahara One’s ratings saw an increase this week to 10 million GVTs from 9 million GVTs in last week.
Newly launched channel Epic (on November 19, 2014) managed to start off its account at 1.2 million GVTs during its first week.
